　　Spring Festival Gala On CCTV

　　The CCTV Spring Festival Gala used to be important to the Chinese people．
　　But now the Gala is being challenged by a growing number of people，especially by younger generations．It is increasingly difficult to cater for all tastes．
　　Some individuals argue that it should be abandoned or replaced by other programs．In spite of that,numbers of mid-aged people and senior citizens uphold the importance ofthe traditional performance．Most ofpeople view this gala as an annual staple on the traditional Chinese Spring Festival Eve．They all enjoy a restless night and glue their eyes on the television．
　　I don’t agree with the view that the grand gala should be canceled．Undoubtedly, it plays an important role in the celebration of Chinese New Year．I am hoping to see a vivid and meaningful show this year．

　　过去，中央电视台的春节联欢晚会对中国人而言是很重大的盛会。但现在的晚会正面临越来越多人的挑战，尤其是年轻一代。晚会越来越难以满足众人的风格偏好。
有些人认为应该取消春晚，或用其它节目取代。尽管如此，很多中老年人仍然认为传统的节庆表演很重要。大多数人认为这个盛会在中国传统的春节前夕是年度节庆盛宴。他们都在电视节目中度过一个不眠之夜。
我不同意取消这个盛会。毫无疑问，它在中国农历新年的庆祝活动中起着重要作用。我希望今年能看到一个生动而有意义的节目。
