　　R: how was your job at the state-owned enterprise?

　　你在那家国企工作怎么样?

　　A: oh, I no longer work there. I'm working with a multi-national corporation.

　　我已经不在那了，现在我在一家跨国公司工作。

　　R: you changed jobs again? Why do you move so frequently?

　　你又换工作了?怎么跳的这么频繁啊?

　　A: I want to try different things before I find the one I really like.

　　我想试试不同的工作，然后看看到底喜欢哪一个。

　　R: why don't you stick with one job for a bit longer?

　　你怎么不在一个岗位上多做一些时间呢?

　　A: I could handle everything pretty well in the old position, so I decided to move around and learn something new.

　　原来的工作我都能处理的很好，所以我想换换环境，学点新东西。

　　R: how's your current job going?

　　现在这工作怎么样?

　　A: I'm pretty satisfied with it. I can broaden my experience, learn lots of new things, and have more development opportunities.

　　挺满意的。我可以拓宽视野，学到很多新东西，还能得到更多的发展机会。

　　R: sounds good,but I still think perhaps you should first have a clear career path to follow and then decide whether to change your job or not.

　　不错。但我还是认为你该先找个明确的职业发展道路，然后再决定要不要换工作。

　　A: yes, you're right. When I graduated, I didn't know what I really wanted to do or what I could do. Now things are growing much clearer.

　　没错。刚毕业的时候，我不知道自己想做什么，也不知道自己能做什么。现在清楚多了。

　　R: do you have a definite career path yet?

　　现在又明确的职业发展道路了吗?

　　A: I'm not sure. I just like the job I'm doing now.

　　还是不太清楚，不过我挺喜欢现在的工作的。

　　【面试谈薪水的英语口语】

　　Kitty: I heard you want to apply for the position as a foreign bank staff member, is it true?

　　Liu Dan: Yes, it's true.

　　Kitty: What about the foreign bank?

　　Liu Dan: It's a branch of the Bank of America in Beijing.

　　Kitty: What are the requirements?

　　Liu Dan: The applicant must be alert and quick at figures, and like meeting the public.

　　Kitty: Would you be using English every day in this job?

　　Liu Dan: Yes. Because the customers are mostly Americans.

　　Kitty: The pay must be good.

　　Liu Dan: Yes, starting salary is 6,000 yuan a month plus bonuses.

　　重点讲解：

　　What about与How about 用法相同，都是用来征求意见，其含义有：(1)(征求意见时)怎么样?(2)不如这样 (3)(做……)如何，怎么样

　　相关链接：

　　(1)"What about to do...?"意思是说两个或两个以上的人谈话时，大家都没有做其他事情，下面要说的这个事情是给大家提一个建议，可以译为“我们去做……吧?”

　　例如：“What about to go to the park this afternoon?” 今天下午去公园怎么样?

　　(2)"What about doing...?"意思是说一个或更多人在做一件无聊的事情或是已经厌倦的事情，说话人给他(们)建议做另外一个事情以对付不高兴的心理,可以译为“做……怎么样?”。

　　例如：“What about playing a game?”玩个游戏怎么样?

　　凯蒂: 我听说你想应聘外国银行的职员，这是真的吗?

　　刘丹: 是真的。

　　凯蒂: 这个外国银行怎么样?

　　刘丹: 它是美国银行在北京的分行。

　　凯蒂: 条件怎么样?

　　刘丹: 应聘者必须对数字敏感，反应快，而且喜欢跟大众接触。

　　凯蒂: 做这个工作每天必须说英语吗?

　　刘丹: 是的。因为顾客大部分是美国人。

　　凯蒂: 薪水肯定优厚。

　　刘丹: 是的，起薪是每月6000元，另外再加奖金。
