My father was my hero, all throughout my life.
父亲是我心目中的英雄,这点在我一生中从未改变。
When I was very little, he appeared to be so large. In my eyes he could do anything. We all knew he was in charge. He was a man of great strength both physically and mentally, but in him there was a gentleness, and he found ways to be outgoing and kind.
当我还是小不点时,他显得那么高大。在我眼中他无所不能,我们知道是他当家。他身心都蕴藏着无穷的力量,但他也很温柔,能让人感觉到他的友善豪爽。
Many childhood days were greeted with a kiss and songs sung to me as I awoke. Those days I surely miss. He made me feel so special, "Miss America" he would sing. I knew I had my father’s love. It gave me courage to do anything.

From him I learned to stand up tall, to be proud of who I am. Strength and determination were the qualities of this fine man. As it drew towards the end of life, that strength kept him alive, and the unfailing determination to take care of my mother. Day and night he struggled for years with her disease. With illnesses of his own, he still stood by her side caring for her and loving her until the day she died. Twenty days later his time came as well.
从他身上,我学会了昂首挺胸,学会了为自己感到骄傲。他是一位力量意志兼备的优秀男人。虽然日渐衰老,但他的力量使他活力依旧,同时,他还靠着坚定的意志照顾着母亲。多年来,他日日夜夜都在跟母亲的疾病做斗争。虽然他自己也是疾病缠身,但他却始终坚守在母亲身边,照顾她,爱着她,直到母亲永远地合上了双眼。而就在二十天后,父亲自己的生命也走到了尽头。
I lost my hero, my father, a man who was my friend. A few years have passed, and life just isn’t the same. But I will remember, and the love will never end.
我失去了我的英雄,我的父亲,我的朋友。数年过去了,我的生活已是另一番景象。但我会永远怀念我的父亲,永远地爱着我的父亲。
