Today, I’m going to tell a movie.maybe some of you, precisely, most of you have seen this one. I’ll give you one clue and let’s see whether you can guess it. It was product-ed by peter levin ,who is an American director of film, television and theatre(drama). It won The Christopher Awards in 2004 and in 2003,being nominated by Emmy the 55th as well. Yes , it told about the story of Liz Murray. -----Homeless to Harvard This movie is based on the pilgrimage of liz murry, a legendary figure, who has lived an extraordinary but suffering life. Her parents were Hippies and drug-addictors. When she was 16, she has become a beggar, being always mugged by her classmates, too. But through her unremitting efforts, she has now achieved success and changed her life, about to change others’ life as well. Thora Birch, (born March 11, 1982) is an American actress. She got her first role at the age of 6 in the short-lived sitcom Day by Day; that role was followed by an appearance in the motion picture Purple People Eater (1988), for which she received a Young Artist Award for "Best Young Actress Under Nine Years of Age". Birch's profile was raised significantly with major parts in this film---Homeless to Harvard. Weighed down with a coke-addicted father and an HIV-infected mother, Liz spends her early years shuttling from squalid apartment to public shelter and back again. She was sent to hospice by force because she never has gone to school. When she was 15 years old, she came back (from hospice) to see her mother and went to school again . But because of her family background, she was always mugged by her classmates. Owing to her mother’s sickness ,she had to be a hookey from time to time. It isn't until her mother's death from AIDS that Liz decides to turn her life around by going back to high school, becoming a star student. With an unerring ability of her headmaster to spot a fake, she was explored and got helped. In 2 years, she started her self-study of four-year-courses. At last, she earned a scholarship to Harvard University through an essay contest sponsored by the New York Times, which quenched her thirst of lacking of finances for further study. I loved this movie, and I was deeply touched by it. The most fundamental reason is that it tells about two eternal topics: love and struggles. In the begging of the movie, she said:I love my mother so much, she was a drug-addicted, she was nearly blind, she got a kind of frantic, but I never forget that she loved me, even if she did, all the time, all the time, all the time. In the end of the movie, she also plainted that she would give it back, all of it, if she could have her family back. Actually I’ve seen this soul-stirring movie for many times. Each time I felt frustrated and got stuck in a dilemma.why? I will summon up courage to go through all the predicaments however it is. There is no more than the miserable life experience of Lisa to make the angel to weep. So I wanna tell all of us(you) that we still have more unfulfilled ends and dreams or whatever you expect to achieve. Young, smart, energetic AS WE ARE, we should have strived for our nice promising future instead of losing yourself in the real social which is full of competition. Here is my favorite motto to share with you. Regardless of all the ups and downs you’ve live through, be the change you want to see in the world. From where we can see your another topic: Love for her family??? You didn’t show your opions on that. 本文来源:https://www.wddqw.com/doc/80992dac08a1284ac85043bf.html
