Education reform in early new China After the founding of new China, our country gradually completed the reform of higher education. Here are main measures of thereform : First，the government took over the church schools, undid the private colleges and universities . For example ,Yanching University was incorporated into Peking University. Second，according to the needs of national economy construction ,the governmentadjusted the layout of schools. Third,the governmentcentralizedprofessionsand made reasonable adjustments in regional distribution.
