What surprised me most was to see the warmth and joy that people were embracing, despite the challenging conditions in which they were living. This moment taught me a powerful lesson in gratitude, as it made me reflect on all the blessings I already had in life. This inspired me to be more mindful of all that I take for granted. I also explored a Thai village and learned a great deal about their culture. I loved the serene beauty of the temples and architectures that bore the stories of their past. I also observed the customs of their festivals, and the joy and fervor of their celebrations. This gave me a new level of appreciation for the wonders of the world, and reinstilled my faith in humanity. These experiences have also opened my eyes to the struggles of different people around the world. Everywhere I’ve been, I’ve witnessed immense poverty and hardship, something that I’ve taken for granted in my own life. This drive home the harsh realities faced everyday by certain parts of the world and the need to help them. The past two weeks have been filled with treasure trove of memories. I am profoundly moved by the experiences, grateful for the lessons I’ve learned, and filled with hope for the future.
