Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to tell you something about our discussion on the topic ＂Whether we should hold a party on Christmas Eve＂.
Sixty percent students think that celebrating Christmas Day is a fashionable activity. It helps us not only to release studying pressure but also to gain more knowledge about foreign culture.
However, the others say that it’s foolish for Chinese people to celebrate foreign festivals, which will greatly affect people’s feelings on our own traditional festivals. What’s more, holding a party will waste the time and affect our study.
As for me, I don’t think that holding a party is a bad thing. But we should pay more attention to our traditional festivals, because they are part of the root of our Chinese culture.
