The terms multiracial and mixed-race describe people whose ancestries come from multiple races. 就是说这个词特指“欧洲和非西班牙裔美洲印第安人的后代”，有其历史背景。这种说法不礼貌。

另外，有一次和外教一起吃饭，闲聊中提到了“混血儿”怎么怎么漂亮，有个同事直接用了“mixed-blood”，外教听后的反应是咧嘴笑笑，质疑地说了个“mixed-blood, cute!”可以看出，他并不赞同这个词。因此，此词要慎用。

那么再看看这些“混血”：half-breed, half-caste, half-blood, hybrid

half-breed: (OFFENSIVE)尤指“美洲印第安人与白人的混血儿”( 不礼貌)

half-caste: (OFFENSIVE) 尤指“欧亚混血儿”( 不礼貌)

half-blood: 有一种意思是“同父异母者，同母异父者”

另外就是特指“美洲印第安人与白人的混血儿”( 不礼貌)

hybrid: 指“杂交动物、杂交植物”，更多强调的是技术。

因此，这几个词都要慎用，除非你是真想骂人“狗杂种”之类的，否则不要乱用引起误会。
