hello everyone!
The theme of my speech this time is: Save water, start from small things. World Water Day is on March 22nd, but how much do you know about water?
Perhaps you don't quite understand, so let me tell you a few points. People cannot lack water. Water accounts for 65% of body weight, and if a person lacks 5% water, it can lead to confusion and even hallucinations. Without water, humans can only live for about a week at most. It can be seen that people cannot lack water.
But why save water? What if we don't save water? Although the Earth is covered by water, the total amount of fresh water that can be utilized by us in so much water is only 100000 parts. It accounts for 0.34% of the total freshwater. Currently, more than 100 countries in the world are facing water shortages. We have studied the text 'The Power of Dreams'. Many people in most parts of Africa die because they cannot drink clean water.
Classmates, save water, start from small things, let's take action immediately.
thank you.
hello everyone!
The topic of my speech this day is water.
Water is the source of all life. It is precisely because of water that we have this blue and beautiful planet, which enables humans, animals and plants to survive.
What if there is really no water? Then on Earth, just like Mars and Saturn, there will be no life and lifelessness. So, there will be no human presence, and everything such as trees, flowers, and plants will no longer exist. Flowers bloom only after watering, and green leaves are beautiful only after watering. If there is no water, will flowers bloom? Can the stream sing happily? Can birds fly? Can small trees flourish? The answer is self-evident.
If everyone doesn't have the awareness of water-saving, and if it really comes to the day when water is as expensive as oil, countless people will die of thirst, and the last drop of water on Earth will become a tear of regret for people!
Saving water benefits the present and contributes to the future. So, I call on everyone to save water, start from now on, save water, love water, cherish water resources, and protect water resources. Start from me, start from the little things around you!
thank you.
hello everyone!
In the vast universe, there is a beautiful planet - Earth. But now, there has been a large-scale drought on this beautiful planet! For the sake of the Earth, have we ever thought about protecting the Earth and cherishing water resources?
Although the water reserves on Earth are 13.86 billion cubic meters, salt water accounts for 97.5% of them, while fresh water only accounts for 2.5%. However, nearly 69% of these freshwater is frozen in the polar regions of the Earth, and 3% is stored in underground aquifers and permafrost. In addition, the freshwater contained in lakes, rivers, and soil only accounts for 0.33% of the freshwater storage. That is to say, there is only 100 trillion cubic meters of water on Earth to sustain the life cycle and metabolism of the Earth's total water volume!
At present, there are more than 100 countries and regions in the world with water shortages, and China is also one of them. Out of over 600 cities in the country, there are over 300 cities with water shortages, with 108 severely affected!
Please cherish water resources! Don't let human tears become the last drop of water on Earth!
thank you.
hello everyone!
I am * * from Class 9 (5). The topic of my speech today is "One Drop of Water, One World".
When it comes to water, it naturally reminds people of the vast ocean, which seems boundless. But do you know how much freshwater resources we can truly utilize? These freshwater reserves only account for 0.3% of all freshwater on Earth, accounting for 70000 parts of the global total water volume, which means that the truly effective utilization of freshwater resources worldwide is only about 9000 cubic kilometers per year.
As is well known, water - gives us green, life, and hope. We are filled with love and gratitude towards it.
But I don't know when, humans seem to have forgotten the grace of water. Chimneys emit black smoke, sewage flows recklessly, rainwater turns sour, river water turns foul, and even seawater loses its blue hue. The pollution of water may be the pollution of our hearts.
Cherishing water means cherishing our own life. We must remember: 'One drop of water, one world'!
Thank you all, my speech is over.
Good morning
Do you know what day tomorrow is? March 22nd is World Water Day, so the topic of my speech today is to save water.
May I ask you a few questions? What do you use to wash your face every morning? What does Mom need to use for cooking every day? And what do you drink every time you're thirsty? The answer can be the same: water. Yes, water is crucial for maintaining our lives and is the most important and precious resource in the world. Without water, humans cannot survive, let alone develop and progress.
Perhaps everyone has heard that there is a high possibility of a water war between countries in the future. And our mother river, the Yellow River, is also cut off for several months every year. If you think these are still too far from our lives, then let me take our city of Shenzhen as an example. Everyone knows that Shenzhen is a coastal city, and our underground freshwater resources are very scarce. If we overuse them, there will be a phenomenon of seawater backflow. As a high school student in Shenzhen, we should deeply understand the importance of water to us, save water, and not waste any water. Let's start from myself, from small things.
The speech is over, thank you all.
