1. Make yourself a priority优先考虑自己

If you don’t take care of yourself, nobody else will. You have to be number one. All things in your life stem from your happiness. Be someone who makes you happy!

如果自己不照顾好自己,别人就更指望不上了。把自己放在首位。生活中一切因你的快乐而存在。做个为自己的快乐而生的人吧!

2. Enjoy the small things享受生活中的那些小事

Take walks more often. Stop and look at a babbling brook. Sit in an oversized chair at Barnes & Noble and read a great book. Observe an elderly couple holding hands. Life is made up of these small and seemingly insignificant things. They aren’t insignificant. Be sure to take the time to appreciate them.

多散步。因潺潺流水而驻足;闲坐在巴诺书店的大号椅子上读本好书;观察一对手挽手的老夫妇;生活就是一连串看似微不足道的琐事。它们虽不起眼,但一定要抽出时间去欣赏。

3. Get outside留恋户外

Being outdoors is good for you. Soak in the sunlight, get those endorphins kicking, and enjoy the beauty that nature offers.

4. Be confident in who you are对自己要有自信

Every person is unique and special in their own way. Understanding this early in life is critical. Be proud of who you are and don’t be afraid to let the world know it.

7. Stop caring about what people think of you别在意别人对你的看法

Fear of criticism is one of the most destructive fears known to humanity. It can debilitate you to the point paralysis. Learn early in life that it doesn’t matter what people think of you. It really doesn’t. And besides, people are too worried about what you think about them to care about you!

8. Remember that people are good at heart记住人性本善

9. Be a positive person积极向上

Make being positive a habit early in life. Your success in life will come from your thoughts and your thoughts can be either negative or positive. Only you can control which you choose.

10. Let go of negative influences远离负面影响

Avoid bad situations, unhealthy relationships, and people who make your life worse. Letting go of a good friend who is going to drag you down is a difficult yet intelligent decision. Failure to do so can negatively affect where you end up in life.

避开困境、不健康的关系和那些搅扰你生活的人。对使你止步不前的好朋友说再见虽难却是明智之举。如果不忍割舍,那只会让你的生活变得一团糟。

11. Know your heart了解自己的内心

We’re paying more attention to external issues than we are to our hearts. That’s why people are dying out there: if we spent half as much time noticing and tending to our hearts, we would be a lot healthier emotionally. Think about how much time the fashion industry, the food industry and the cosmetic industry pay to convince you that you’re not OK, and most people buy into it, hook, line, and sinker. How do I know? Because I buy it way too often as well. Invest in your heart—know your value and change your world.

我们对外在的关注总是多于对内心的呵护。所以很多人都会在这个症结上摔跟头。如果我们匀出一半精力关注并呵护我们的内心的话,我们的心理要健康得多。想想时尚圈、食品业及化妆业花了多大精力让你觉得自己“很逊”来着?可还是有很多人上钩——咬钩、上线、中招。我是怎么知道的?因为我也上过很多次当啊!所以,还是投资自己的内心吧——去了解你的价值,然后作出改变。

12. Cultivate it修养身心

How do you tend to your heart? By paying attention to what’s happening to it as the losses of life unfold. By feeding it with good kind things. By spending time with yourself and learning who you are and what your strengths are.

你将怎样呵护内心呢?当在生活中吃亏时,请关注内心的感受吧;请用美好来浇灌它吧;请花时间跟自己相处、了解自己并发掘自己的优点吧。

13. Be Fearless勇敢无畏

Find your strengths and you’ll become fearless. Utilize the gifts you’ve been given, and impact your world with them. Be humble. Be a friend. Be generous. Give your heart away, and lead others.

当发现自己的优点时,你会变得勇敢无惧。请利用你的天分好好改变自己的生活。要谦逊,要友善,要大方,要用自己的内心感染他人。

14. Love strong爱坚不可摧

Pay attention to the one thing that’s most important in your life: those you love. Don’t let your concern for your size, your weight or your body image rob you of life. Don’t let it steal time away from those you love because you’re so preoccupied with all that mess. Risk. Step out. Say good-bye to the old way and dare to try something new. You’ll feel so much better.

15. Be grateful心怀感恩

It’s hard to be grateful for something you loathe. My clients with eating disorders and body image concerns can’t generally find one thing to like about their physical appearance, but I challenge them to risk looking beyond what they see and begin to cultivate an attitude of gratefulness for what their physical body allows them to do. Hold a child. Run a marathon. Write a poem. Play an instrument. Touch a loved one. Start small, but start somewhere. 讨厌的人和事物,又怎么会感恩呢?我的客户饮食失调、为身材苦恼,对自己的外貌没有一处不讨厌,但是我要求他们试试换个角度看待自己,尽可能以感恩的心态对待自己的外貌。试着抱抱小孩,跑一场马拉松,写一首小诗,学一门乐器或抚慰所爱的人,随时从小处做起。
