Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci was a versatile man. He was an Italian Renaissance architect, musician, anatomist, inventor, engineer, sculptor, geometer, and painter. He has been described as the archetype of the "Renaissance man" and as a universal genius. Leonardo is famous for his masterly paintings, such as The Last Supper and Mona Lisa. He is also known for designing many inventions that anticipated modern technology, although few of these designs were constructed in his lifetime. In addition, he helped advance the study of anatomy, astronomy, and civil engineeringand so on.For most people, the understanding of Leonardo da Vinci is scattered, so this biography will help somebody get a systematic understanding of Leonardo da Vinci's whole life.

Like other ill-fated great men, Leonardo da Vinci also did not have a perfect family and childhood. On April 15, 1452 (Julian calendar), Leonardo da Vinci was born in the Tuscany mountain town of Finch. His father, Sypiero da Vinci, was a legal notary in Florence and was therefore very rich. His mother, Katrina, is a peasant woman. Leonardo da Vinci is their illegitimate son.In other words, He was a bastard. Therefore Leonardo da Vinci does not have a real surname. He always lived with her mother until he was five years old and his father didn't take care of him. So he lacked of father's love and superior education. So much so that he has not studied systematically, and the interesting stories of his childhood have become unknown, which we can see from other books.

About the records of interesting stories of his childhood, there is extremely little, only two events. One of which is that he found a cave while exploring the mountains. Although he was afraid that there would be monsters in it, he finally went in to find out, driven by curiosity. But as a child, he also showed "uncontrollable curiosity" and "fanatical creative imagination".

The five-year-old was a turning point for Leonardo da Vinci, who began his artistic career. Because Leonardo da Vinci came to Florence with his father when he was five years old. And 9 years later, he was sent as an apprentice to study, or make living. Fortunatly,he studied under artist Andrea Dijoni, whose Botega is "one of the best studios in Florence". As an apprentice to the most famous painter and sculptor in Florence of that time, Leonardo da Vinci worked for seven years. And the story of Leonardo da Vinci's painting of eggs took place in this period. During his apprenticeship, Leonardo da Vinci was exposed to theoretical training and a wide range of technical skills, including drawing, chemistry, metallurgy, metalworking,

plaster casting, leather working, machinery and carpentry, as well as painting, sculpture and modeling. After leaving his apprenticeship, Leonardo da Vinci was awarded master's degrees from St. Luke's Guild, artists' Guild and doctors' Guild. This is crucial to Leonardo da Vinci's life.

From then on,Leonardo da Vinci began to study and creation during traveling one place to another place. In Milan,Leonardo da Vinci played the seven strings

well.Interstingly he was known as a musician rather than as a painter or inventor here. During this period, he did not have many paintings, but his unparalleled talent was very popular with the Grand Duke of Milan Ludovico Sforza. In 1499,Leonardo da Vinci traveled to Mantua and Venice to avoid the war and he carried out some scientific researches.

Next year,Leonardo da Vinci returned to Florence and began to paint the Mona Lisa. He used a variety of painting methods and created painting method of perspective, including "air perspective" and "hidden perspective". It is precisely because of these two perspective methods that the distant scenery and sky in the Mona Lisa truly restore people's visual experience in space.

In addition,He had even moved to Rome. But eventually, Leonardo da Vinci went to France in 1516 and finally settled in Ambois to spend his later years. In this period,he seldom painted but devoted himself to scientific research until May 2,1519. After he died, he left a large number of notes and manuscripts, covering almost everything from physics, mathematics to biological anatomy.

Leonardo da Vinci was a giant and a milestone in the history of art. He was a talented sculptor, musician, scientist, architect, and engineer, a creator in all branches of art, a discoverer in most branches of science, and an inventor in branches of technology. He deserves, perhaps more than anyone. Leonardo Da Vinci, up to today, remains one of the greatest people to ever have shadowed this earth.

Leonardo da Vinci's life is over here. From birth to death, he constantly explored the road of art, whether he was an apprentice, a musician or a painter. In order to study, he tossed around the world, leaving his own unique traces. Finally, he left silently, leaving endless wealth of knowledge for the world. That's probably what a great man is.
