Li Bai is a famous poet in Tang Dynasty. It is said that when he was young, he was slow to read, and he was impatient. One day, he went out to play, saw an old woman squatting beside the stream, holding an iron bar in the stone mill. Li Bai feel very strange, and asked: “the old woman, what are you doing?” The wife does not return, while grinding her side bar, said: “I am in the grinding needle!” Li Bai strange, asked: “such a bar, can be ground into a needle?” The old woman said: “I wear today, tomorrow will be more iron mill, grinding is fine, even if it is not a grinding needle!” Li Bai listened to her words, my heart like the trick. From then on he worked hard, and she became a literary man.

“Perseverance will prevail” comes from this story. This idiom means that as long as the hard work, will be successful. So people often say: “Little strokes fell great oaks. Zhen.”
