关于节日的英语对话

Jeff：

What did you do yesterday, Joan? 你昨天做了什么，琼? Joan：

I took my Dad to a really fancy restaurant for lunch. 我带我爸爸去一家很豪华的餐馆吃午饭。 Jeff：

I bet he liked that Joan. You are very thoughtful. 我打赌他喜欢那样，琼。你很周到。 Joan：

Well, he is my Dad after all. He really helped me when I was growing up. 唔，他毕竟是我的父亲。我成长的时候他真的帮了我很多。 Jeff：

I took my father out to play golf. 那听起来很好。你让你赢了吗? Joan：

That sounds nice. Did you let him win? 那听起来很好。你让他赢了吗? Jeff：

Of course! It was Father's Day! 当然了!那是父亲节! Jessie：

Do you think it's harder to be a mom or dad? 你觉得做妈妈更难，还是做爸爸更难? Tim：

I have never really thought about that question. 我还真从没想过这个问题。 Jessie：

I think moms work harder, but being a dad would be stressful. 我觉得妈妈更辛苦，不过做爸爸压力很大。 Tim：

Did you cause your dad a lot of stress when you were growing up? 你成长的时候给你爸爸增加了很多压力吗? Jessie：

I think so. He was always worrying about my grades and my boyfriends. 我想是吧。他老是担心我的成绩和我的男朋友。 Tim：

Did he like any of your boyfriends? 他喜欢你的那些男朋友吗? Jessie：

He liked the ones that I didn't like! 他喜欢那些我不喜欢的。 Tim：

He was just trying to look after you because he wanted the best for his little girl.

他只是想照顾你，因为他希望他的小女孩得到最好的东西。 Jessie：

And I love and respect him for that! 而我因此爱他，尊敬他! Mary：

Boys and girls, there will be an exam tomorrow. 同学们，我们明天考试。 Tim：

Haha, April Fool's! Did you forget what day it is today? 哈哈，今天是愚人节!怎么都忘了? Tim：

Wow, you were pulling our leg all along. I was really fooled. 哇，原来是骗我们的。我被作弄了! Mary：

Alright, now let's be serious. Actually…you'll take an exam today. 好了，不跟大家开玩笑了。其实……我们是今天考试。 Tim： What?… 什么?……
