作文

Nothing can be accomplished without norms and standards

As is known to us all know, nothing can be accomplished without norms and standards.. Nowadays, there are so many rules or norms around us such as school rules, traffic rules and even rules to be a successful person. Therefore, much of us would wonder that are these rules really helpful for us?

Maybe reactions to this question vary widely. Let's guess what would happen if there is no traffic rules? Of course, people cannot control the road orderly and there must be lots of traffic accident.

However, every coin has two sides, There are also too many unreasonable rules to prevent us from achieving goats. For instant, many companies refuse to employ women because they think women are not strong and smart as men. It is an unfair rule, but we cannot change it.

In a word, we should obey the public rules to make our life orderly. However, if it is a false rule, we should refuse it and respect our principles.

Experiencing hardships can be of great benefit to children.

As our life becomes better and better, parents do everything they can to create a comfortable living conditions for children. As far as I am concerned, experiencing hardships can be of great benefit to children.

Experiencing hardships has many advantages. On one hand hard life makes children understand that their future lies in their own hands. They can become stronger and more independent. On the other hand, hardships let them learn to feel grateful. They will be grateful to whatever given to them by their parents. What's more, in the face of difficulties, children will spare no efforts to deal with them rather than be at a loss what to do.

I strongly recommend that parents should create chances for children to experience hardships thus letting them realize the importance of valuing the present life and make good use of every minute to be prepared for the future.

Why academic achievement is not an adequate way to judge a student?

Some people believe that academic achievement is an adequate way to judge a student. Yet that would be a mistake. As far as I am concerned, the academic achievement is not an adequate way to judge a student.

Indeed, academic achievement can show the result of a student's efforts and capability. However, good academic achievement doesn't mean everything as that won't follow a student's whole life. Many great men were not students who got high grades when they were young. But they still finally achieved great success.

What's more, some students spend a lot of time studying hard to get good marks. As a result, they often have high scores but low ability.

I, therefore, believe that we should reform the education system and care more for students' other ability more than academic achievement

It is hard to imagine how our forefathers could do without so many conveniences that modern technology has brought about. Back then only a small proportion of the population enjoyed some comforts. The majority didn't even have sufficient food, not to speak of(let alone) the privilege of being educated. However, many people blame modern technology for the problems it has created. They want to slow down the rate of progress. But no one can put the clock back. The best we can do is to make informed decisions as to the direction in which technology is to develop.

The instant the professor entered the classroom, the words on the blackboard "Welcome Back Professor" drew his attention. He had been injured in a car accident, and had had several operations in a nearby hospital. The doctor calculated his chances of survival to be no more than 10%. Now, not only had he recovered from his injury, but he was also able to resume teaching. Every student felt excited at the sight of him, and minutes passed before the class cooled down.

课文A
