Now we have arrived at the territory of Jingchuan county, which is located seventy kilometers southeast of Pingliang City, 260 kilometers from the Xi'an East and 400 kilometers away from the East of Lanzhou.Meanwhile,it also is the necessary area where 312 national highway must travel.The County is located in the board of Shanxi and Gansu ,at some time in the intersection in the river of Jing and Rui . With clean and tidy roads,considerable trees and tall buildings. There are 1049 square kilometers and about 300000 people consisted of Han, Hui, Tibetan and other seven ethnic groups, mainly Han nationality in this region. With the River of Jing traveling through the territory, this little city got its fair name, Jingchuan. A profound and extensive history created a rich and gorgeous culture. In early fifty thousand years ago, our ancestors have lived there. "Jingchuan" fossils belong to the era of old fossil Homo sapiens stage, earlier than the emergence of Beijing Upper Cave Man. In the period of Xia and Shang Dynasty, it belongs to the ancient land.Then the kingdom of Zhou built two square countries,Fang and Ruan . Shortly after the Wen, king of Zhou had eliminated the county of Ruan and Gong, Jingchuan was namely occupied by Rong,a minority of deserted west. The kigdom of Qin beat Rong and set some counties ,such as Beidi,Longxi and so on .At that date ,Jingchuan just belongs to the file of Beidi. Since the third years of yuan Ding (year's title of an empire in Han dynasty), namely114 years BC, here set a Anding County. From that time , Jingchuan has 2100 years of history. since ancient times, Jingchuan is the county of Anding or Jingchuan State's political, economical, cultural and military center.
