五年级英语上册第一课

Unit 1 Hello!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to school! I hope you all had a great summer vacation.

In this unit, we will learn how to greet people and introduce ourselves in English. Let's start with the basic greeting: hello. When you see someone, you can say hello to them. It's a friendly way to start a conversation.

There are many different ways to say hello in English, depending on the time of day and the situation. For example, you can say "good morning" in the morning, "good afternoon" in the afternoon, and "good evening" in the evening.

If you want to be more informal, you can say "hi" or "hey" instead of hello. And if you are greeting someone you know well, you can add their name to the greeting: "Hello, John!" or "Hi, Mary!"

After saying hello, it's polite to ask the other person how they are doing. You can say "how are you?" or "how's it going?" to ask about their well-being. And when someone asks you how you are doing, you can answer with "I'm fine, thank you" or "I'm doing well, thanks for asking".

In addition to greeting people, we will also learn how to introduce ourselves in English. When you meet someone for the first time, it's helpful to introduce yourself and tell them a little bit about yourself. You can say "my name is..." and then give your name.

You can also say where you are from, how old you are, and what you like to do.

For example, "Hi, my name is Lisa. I'm from Beijing, China. I'm 10 years old and I like playing basketball".

By learning how to greet people and introduce ourselves in English, we can make new friends and communicate with others more effectively. So let's practice and have fun!
