This film mainly tells a true war broken between Persia and United Hellenic. During the war, most of the Spartans expressed their patriotism and fought the Persia’s army bravely. However, there was a traitor outflanking the Persians and attacking them in the rear. Then the film’s climax is coming. The Sparta’s king, King Leonidas, handled his 300 brave soldiers captured strategic positions, Thermopylae, killed a lot of Persians. The 300 soldiers used the enemies’ corpses building a wall. This phenomenon was quite terrifying and encouraging soldiers to keep up high morale. Although the Sparta soldiers were very fierce, the Persians attacked their battle field again and again. Finally the whole 300 soldiers were died besides one who sent the war news to their national. The end of this film gives people a feeling of sorrow. However, just as a critic said, they lost the final battle, but won people’s heart. The actors suffered high intensity training for a strong body to performance this film. So some struggling actors secretly said, compared with the fitness and die every day is easy. I think these actors shoot the film just as their roles in the film fight for glory. This film conveys a theme that no matter how powerful you enemy is just fight for glory until fall down. Besides, a soldier should know how to take advantage of the environment to get the most successful results of a battle. On the other hand, we should develop a custom that have physical training regularly to prepare for a challenge to battle.
