A bookstore It was located in a large shopping mall. The atmosphere in the bookstore seemed much the same as in the shopping mall; man and woman rubbed shoulders with teenagers and the elderly. They talked loudly as if they were in a store rather than a bookstore; noise became background music in your mind even you couldn’t find where it came from. The first time you step into the bookstore, you may feel in a mess. There were several long desks on your left with a large number of books on the surface. All the covers of those books were gaudy with a bizarre mishmash of colors and patterns; people picked them up and down all the time and put them in a hideous disorder. Then, on your right, some tall bookshelves stood tightly but there was no tool to get the books on the top of the shelf. And when you were finding books between two shelves, something embarrassed would happen if others walked to you and wanted to pass by your side. The narrow aisle only gave room for one person to go past. People go to a bookstore probably have two purposes. One is to read a book; another is to buy a book. However, people regarded this bookstore as a shop to spend time aimlessly. They walked in and walked around and walked out with friends talking and laughing. Bookstores almost have a quiet place for people to read and have a rest. But you couldn’t get any room to have a comfortable read or get a seat here, and no corner was available for your own. You just stood where you got the book and handled your body constantly in the small aisle for other visitors. If you were skimming through a cookbook by chance or you happened to get hungry with whatever in your hand, the sweet smell of bread and cakes from the bakery next to the bookstore would disturbed you and diverted your attention. The result, obviously, was that you were attracted to the delicious cakes. 本文来源:https://www.wddqw.com/doc/f49f7fb3be1e650e53ea9994.html
