You mustn't come home late. / You must be home at half past ten.
I can't get home so early, Dad! / Can I have the key to the front door, please?
We always enjoy ourselves.
What are you going to do this evening, Jill? 可以复习一下be going to do的用法。
I'm going to meet some friends, Dad. meet sb.,
You mustn't come home late.
You must be home at half past ten. 1)come home强调动作,be home强调状态。
I can't get home so early, Dad! 1)此处的can't表示不能,不是许可与否。 2)get home相当于come home,其中home是副词,get后面原本有to,即get to,表示到达。
Can I have the key to the front door, please? 2)the key to the front door,注意the key to the door(门钥匙)中的介词to是固定搭配。另外,也有the key to the question(问题的答案)的固定搭配用法。
Jill's eighteen years old, Tom. eighteen years old也可以简略为eighteen,表示多少岁。
Give her the key. give为双宾动词,give sb. sth. Give the key to her.
Oh, all right! all right用来表示许可、赞同。
But you mustn't come home after a quarter past eleven. quarter经常用来指代15分钟,如:一刻钟,a quarter;三刻钟,three quarters。
That's all right.
Enjoy yourself! enjoy oneself,固定短语,表示玩得开心,相当于have a good time。
