  1.around prep.环绕,围着;大约,接近 adv.向四面,朝各个方向


  beat around the bush 转弯抹角,兜圈子


  例句:Don't beat around the bush. Come to the point.


  你不要兜圈子了。想说什么就说什么。


  (be) around 露面,被见到(appear, be seen)


  例句:1.I wondar wtat's happened to Jerry. He hasn't been around for at least two weeks.


  不知道杰瑞出了什么事。他已经至少两星期没有露面了。


  2.The head of the board will around tomorrow morning.


  明天上午可以见到董事长。


  get around to 抽时间做…


  例句:1.I've been meaning to get my eyes checked. I just haven't got around to it yet.

  tire out 使…筋疲力尽(exhaust oneself)
