一、 教学内容分析

本节微课为讲授型微课,主要讲解高中阶段英语中表示“发生”的词和词组 happen, occur, take place, break out, come about的用法及其区别,并通过例句和练习加以巩固。这些词在高中英语中频繁出现,也是学生容易出错的一个知识点。教师想要通过一节微课来处理这些词的用法,必须精选教学内容和例句,选用适当的练习形式,以便学生更好地掌握知识。

二、教学对象分析

高一年级的学生已经学过了这几个词的用法,但是在使用过程中总是出错。 对于大部分学生来说,这几个词的用法和区别是个学习的难点。因此,通过本节课的讲解和归纳,希望学生能够加深对这几个词的认识,在实际应用中能比较准确地使用这些词。

三、 教学目标

学生能够认识到高中英语中表示“发生”的词,happen, occur, take place, break out, come about的用法及其区别,并通过观察这些词的适用语境学会正确地使用这几个词。

四、 教学设计思路

本节课将采用“观察---演示---练习---再练习”的教学模式来达到教学目标, 并利用多媒体课件实现时间短,容量大的效果。 首先,本课通过让学生观察句子并找出这些词的共同之处,令学生回顾所学知识并准备好接收系统的知识体系。接着,分别对这些的用法及区别进行演示和提供例句,让学生体会其适用的语境,以便更好地使用这些词。然后,通过两项巩固练习让学生检验和总结所学知识。最后,简单地总结本节课的所学内容

五、 教学环节

Step 1. Observation

The accident happened early this morning. Many accidents occur in the home.

The contest takes place every four years. The First World War broke out in 1914. I don’t know how this came about.

What do they have in common? 不及物动词,无被动语态

Step 2. Finding out the differences 1. Happen & occur

Happenoccur都表示偶然发生,一般用于偶然或突发性事件。

Happen 是一般用语,occur是较正式用语。以具体事物或事件为主语时,可

以互换。如:

A big earthquake happened/occurred in the south of China last month.



Similarities

Happen 还有碰巧之意,常用搭配有sb/sth happens to do sth / It happens

that …,表示碰巧做某事。如:

I happened to see him on my way home. = It happened that I saw him on my way home.

某人发生某事? Sb happens sth × 应为sth happens to sb 如: A car accident happened to him yesterday.

Occur还指想到,突然想起,常用结构有Sth occurs to sb / It occurs to sb

that …, 意为某人突然想起某事 如: A great idea occurred to me.

It occurred to her that she had forgotten to take her homework.



Differences 2. Take place

表示发生、举行、举办,多指有组织、有计划的事件的发生,没有偶然性。

如: The 2008 Olympic Games took place inBeijing. The concert will take place at 8:00 tomorrow morning. 3. Break out

意思为发生、爆发,常指战争、灾难、疾病或争吵的发生,如:

Two world wars broke out last century.

A fire broke out in the hospital at midnight.

4. Come about

意为发生、产生,多指 事情已经发生了,但不知道为什么,常与how

连用,用于疑问句和否定句。如:

Do you know how the accident came about?

六、教学反思

本节课采用“讲练结合”的方式引导学生认识到高中英语中表示“发生”的词的用法及区别。在教学过程中,学生在运用已有知识的基础上,通过老师的引导,学习并认识了这几个词的用法及不同之处。然后,通过选词填空和短文填空练习帮助学生巩固和检验了所学知识。
