Step 1 Warm up.

Ask students: How do you go to school? Students answer: I go to school by bike. Then the teacher says: I go to school by bike too. I like riding a bike. Riding a bike is my hobby. Write the word hobbyaccording to the pronunciation of it.

Step 2 Presentation.

1. Show a picture of a man riding a bike to learn how to change ride a bike into riding a bike .

2. Repeat the same approach with the other phrases, including playing the violin, collecting stamps, making kites, and diving. Emphasize the pronunciation ofI/ ai/by reading dive, diving, bike, riding, kite, and I " violin .

3. Play a guessing game. Ask students to guess the words in the card. 4. Teaching new sentence.Look at the pictures about hobbies on PPT and askWhat's your hobby?
