　　例句：Be sure to turn off the calculator between every two problems so that the battery won't wear out.

　　A:你什么时候去检查眼睛啊?

　　B:I had to cancel my appointment. I couldn't fit it in.

　　fit somebody in for an appointment 为某人安排一个预约

　　例句：Hello, could you fit me in for an appointment today? I need a stylist who's good at cutting curly hair.

　　你好，能为我在今天安排个预约吗?我需要一位能剪卷发的发型师。

　　have(make, arrange) an appointment with 与(请求，安排)与某人见面，与…有约会(come to meet sb.; ask to meet sb.; make both sides meet meet at a proper time)

　　例句：

　　1.This is Mrs.Cheeves, I'd like to make an appointment with Dr.Fox.

　　我是奇弗斯太太，我想找福克斯医生看病。

　　2.I have an appointment with my professor at three o'clock.

　　我下午3点和教授有个预约。

　　例句：

　　1.My brother has been waiting in the line at the box office since five o'clock this morning.

　　2.This seems to be a nice place and we don't have to wait in line.

　　A:I thought the doctor said you should stay off your foot untilthe swelling goes down.
