  1.go v. 去;离开;去(某处做某事);运行;运转;变为;通(向);受损;不起作用;进行;进展;和谐;相配;(指时间)剩下


  go jogging 去跑步


  例句:Are you ready to go jogging?


  准备好去跑步了吗?


  go sightseeing 观光,看风景(travel and enjoy the sceneries)


  例句:If you are in a hurry, you can take the subway. If you want to go sightseeing, take abus.


  如果你想赶时间就去坐地铁,如果你想观赏风景就坐公共汽车。


  2.light n. 灯,光


  light bulb 灯泡


  例句:Alan, did you change the light bulb?


  爻伦,是不是你换的灯泡?


  light lunch 很随便的午饭


  A:I always want a little something to eat about this time of day.

  B:So do I. Let's have a snack now and then have a light lunch later.

  例句:Whenever I turn on the stereo, my roommate asks me to switch it off. It really gets my monkey up.

  get one's promotion 提升(be promoted to a higher position)


  A:You work all night and sleep in the day time.

  B:I stopped that when I got my promotion.

  in one's favor 对...有利(to the advantage of)


  例句:


  1.The court decided in his favor.

  2.In such a case, it is usually settled in the consumer's favor.

  A:I think I'll go to a movie tonight instead of working on my paper.
