一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:

1 能分析本单元相关语篇写作内容和写作手法。 2.掌握一些常用句式:When I …, I realized I had... By the time…., …had already…; As ..., ; be about to并能恰当地运用这些句式描述出事情发生的经过。

3. 运用所学写作技巧完成写作任务。

Step 1 Warming up Step 2. Lead-in

Watch a video about a young lady and a young man. After watching, ask the following questions:

(1). How was the lady’s morning?

By the time she went out, the rain ______ _____.

When she got into the taxi, she ____________ some money. As she was in the taxiall the traffic lights _____ _____. (2). How was the man’s morning?

When he was ________ on the street, he got water all over him. He was about to sell ______ to the man.

By the time he ran after the man, the man ______ ______. Step 3. look at the pictures That’s about Mary’ morning.









Groupwork: Try to retell the story according to the pictures. Use more sentences to describe each picture.

For example: Picture 2 We can use these expressions. 1I left home quickly, but the bus had left. 2I left home without breakfast, but the bus had left.


3I got up too late to catch the bus. 4I got up so late that I missed the bus. 5: By the time I went out, the bus had left.

Step 4. Explain the writing skills:

She got outside. The bus had already left. == >When she got outside, the bus had already left.

== >By the time she got outside, the bus had already left.

假如这几幅画表现的是你所经历的事情,请展开想象,任选一个结局,以“My lucky/unlucky day”为题,写一篇80词左右的短文,记叙你那天的活动及感受。



1. 写前准备:

1)观察图画,结合屏幕上的Mind-map,口头讨论故事发生的时间、地点、人物、活动及不同的结局。

2)选择不同的故事结局,尝试使用不同的句式描述每幅图片,小组之间比一比谁的表述更好。

2. 当堂训练:结合本节课所学及小组讨论结果,自己完成写作任务。 (分层要求: A:争取写出一档作文 B:尽力完成写作要求)

c)使用第一人称,语言结构丰富,能恰当地使用连接词叙述事情的经过; d)书写工整,字数符合要求。
