An admirable instructor The person that I admire most in this campus is the oral English class instructor of my 2nd year in university. We all liked to call him Ben and he was just like a friend, not a teacher. Ben is a gentleman who likes having all of his hair shaved and has a round face with droopy beard. The students used to think that he’s from India but in fact, he’s a Canadian. He once taught us for one semester. It was a short time but he deeply impressed us. We all liked to take his class. It’s not his appearance that grasped so many students’ hearts but his personality and the way he inspired us. If you ask the students to use one word to describe Ben’s personality, they will probably say ‘amiable’, ‘’responsible’ ‘dependable’ and so on. He always put a smile on his face and he’s kind to everyone. The 1st time he introduced himself, he told us that if we needed help, we could come to him because he would give us a hand if he had that ability. Since it was an oral English class that he taught us, some students were shy to talk. He told us that we should never be afraid to make mistakes when speaking English because the only thing that might be a mistake was one’s thought. What he taught us in class was more than a textbook. Each lesson he gave was so inspiring and was a lesson of life. For instance, he once shared a hobby of him called wind-suit flying which is a kind of extreme sports that none of us had ever tried it before. He encouraged us to do something adventurous and try different things when we were still young. Instead of staying in the room all the time, we should step out of the door to explore this beautiful world and accumulate more various experiences.
