Seven years have passed since I began my career as an English teacher for seventh-grade students. During these seven years, I have encountered numerous challenges and gained valuable experiences that have shaped my teaching philosophy. In this reflective essay, I will summarize my teaching practices, analyze my effectiveness, and propose some changes for improvement.

Teaching Practices

My teaching practices have evolved over the years, but the core philosophy that guides me remains the same. I believe that every student has the potential to learn and grow, and it is my duty as a teacher to create an environment that fosters this growth. Therefore, I create lesson plans that incorporate different learning styles and ensure that the class activities are interactive and engaging.

One of my teaching practices involves the use of technology in the classroom. I integrate technology into my lessons by incorporating online videos, interactive quizzes, and other digital resources that help students to learn and retain information better. I also use social media platforms to communicate with students and followers, creating a space where anyone interested in English language learning can engage in meaningful discussions.

Another practice I adopt is differentiated instruction. I recognize that students have different learning needs, and I offer different activities and assignments that cater to these needs. For example, I offer enrichment activities for advanced students and offer remedial exercises for struggling students.




Moreover, I always try to ensure that my lessons are culturally responsive. Being a teacher in a diverse classroom, I try to

incorporate diverse cultural perspectives into my lesson plans to make it more relatable and appealing to my students.

Effectiveness

Regarding my effectiveness as a teacher, I can confidently say that I am making a positive impact on my students' lives. I measure effectiveness by looking at the results of student assessments, observing student participation and engagement, and receiving feedback from both students and parents.

The results of student assessments indicate that students' performance in English language learning has consistently improved over the years. The success is attributed to the use of various teaching methodologies that cater to different learning needs and styles.

In terms of participation and engagement, I have observed a

significant improvement in my students' attitudes toward learning. Students are actively engaged in group work and take part in class discussions with enthusiasm. The results suggest that students have a better understanding and connection to the subject matter.
