1.arrest vt./n. 1．逮捕，拘捕，拘留2．阻碍
under arrest 被逮捕(being arrested)
例句：Joseph Smith, you're under arrest for robbing a bank.

2.assistant n. 助手
research assistant 研究助理员（很多时候research assistant可以缩略成R.A.）
A.Are you going home for winter vacation?

3.free adj. 自由的，免费的 vt. 解放，解脱
free of 摆脱，清除
例句：I open the window to free the room of smoke．

A:I just found out I can't renew my lease for the next school year.

B:Well. don't worry. There should be plenty of apartments freeing up after graduation.

例句：Ted is always free with money. It is said he has spent $500 on his birthday party.

at hand 在手头，在手边
例句：I couldn't look up the speelling of the word, I didn't have a dictionary at hand.

例句：I can't tell you off hand, but as soon as I get back to my office, I'll give you a call.

例句：I am going to tell that neighbor of mine to turn down that music once and for all.

7.wrap vt. 包裹，卷 n. 披肩，围巾
wrap up 完成，结束（对照同义习语：be finished with, be done with, be through with, wind up)
例句：Do you think we can wrap up this report by five?
