On “Clear your plate” campaign Nowdays many people and society organization start the “Clear your plate” campaign ，why this phenomenon is so popular in the society, I will give the reasons as follow, According the news which I heard recently Zhou Jinsong, a canteen manager at Central South University, said that students produce over 12 barrels of leftovers on a daily basis — each barrel stands at one meter in height. Zhou’s canteen is just one of several on the campus. But canteen waste is merely the tip of the iceberg. According to Xinhua News Agency, the food wasted by Chinese people equates to about 50 million tons of grain every year, or 10 percent of the country’s total annual grain production.after that what do you think the phenomenon? In my opinion , the food waste tend to increase with the society developing ,the first is that many people’s income is increase ,however they get rid of the days which make you hungry everyday, they eat a lot such as milk ,meat fruit and so on , in their mind if they don’t eat clean,they will eat the fresh one in the next time , so many people waste the food gradually,the second is that the food is enough than before ,they can eat a lot ,no number limit ,no consume limit .In all this reasons lead to the phenomenon of food waste .
