1.football n. 足球,橄榄球
football season 橄榄球赛季
例句:I'm starting training tomorrow for the football season.
明天我要开始为这个橄榄球赛季训练了。
football stadium 橄榄球场
A:The light in this dining room is a little too bright, don't you think?
A:餐厅的灯有点太亮了,是不是?
B:I'd say it's perfect for a football stadium.
B:要是橄榄球场的话那就太棒了。

2.look v. 看;瞧,注视;面向;看上去
look on the bright side 往好处想,看到光明的一面(take the pleasant things into consideration)
例句:Don't be so pessimistic. Why not look on the bright side of your life?
别这么悲观,为什么不想想生活中光明的一面呢?
look on with 和…合看
A:I'm sorry I returned your course guide too late for your class at l0.
A:很抱欺,我把你的课程指南还给你晚了,没赶上你10点的课。
B:That's OK, I looked on with a friend.
B:没关系的。我和一位朋友合看的。
look on...as 把…当作(regard as, recognize as, consider as; 对照think of...as记忆)
例句:In the Middle Ages, the Europeans looked on diamonds as tokens of power and influence.
在中世纪,欧洲人把钻石看成权力和权势的标志。

3.row n.(一)排,(一)行 v. 划船,吵架
in a row 连续,一直
A:It's raining again.
A:又下雨了。
B:This makes it four days in a row. Do you think it's ever stop?

4.sight n. 眼界,视域
catch sight of 注意到,看见(notice, see)
例句:The President was talking to a young woman in the crowd when Bill suddenly caught sight of a man standing several yards behind her.
