Nowadays,it seems that people are spending more and more time watching some sort of visual entertainment,whether it is television,a video tape or a DVD.There is no doubt that watching movies has become one of the main entertainments today and can influence the way that people behave.Therefore,the influence of movies cannot be ignored.
Firstly,there are more and more advertisements before the movies. For example,I have experienced thirty minutes' advertisements before the movie began.Secondly,the movies affect people is that they give people either a broader view of the world or an interesting one,depending on what type of programs they choose.For instance,those who watch news and educational programs can learn new things while those who watch entertainment shows can have great fun. Finally,perhaps the most susceptible viewers are children,who may be unable to tell fact from fiction and may try to imitate acts that they see in the movies.
In conclusion,with the ever-increasing popularity of movies,the influence is also tremendous and overwhelming.Besides the positive influence,we should pay more attention to the negative influence.(189 words)

Is Dieting Good or Bad
In order to keep a slim body and to be more attractive in appearance, many people,especially girls,would like to lose weight by eating less. Some people worry that dieting is bad for our health, while others don't agree.In my opinion,dieting is not good for most people.
First,dieting is harmful to people's health.It has been proved that if one begins to eat less to keep slim,he or she will be much weaker than those who don't.Young people's bowels must work in an orderly way every day.If a 20-year-old girl eats less than what her body needs,her metabolism will slow down because there is not so much food to be digested each day.As a result,this young girl will become both physically and mentally slow as a 40-year-old one.How terrible it is! Second,dieting may affect our lives.In this modem society,people need to be very energetic to face severe competitions in their study or work. Dieting will surely reduce their energy and in turn affect their lives badly.
In conclusion,I believe that dieting is not advisable for most people,except for those who are told to do so by doctors.(203 words)

Is Stress a Bad Thing
According to a recent survey,in the last few years,quite a number of young people have chosen to quit their demanding but highly-paid jobs. Although they may have their own respective reasons,I don't think their decisions are wise in reality.
It's true the case is not unique.Some people choose to do something less competitive so that they can lead a comfortable,easy life that a highly-paid job cannot obtain.They are afraid that the stresses and strains of work will rob them of joy and happiness and do them harm both physically and mentally.In fact,however,stress isn't the bad thing it is often supposed to be.A certain amount of stress is vital to provide motivation and challenge,and to give significance to an idle life.People under stress are likely to express their full range of potential and to realize goal of a human life.
Stress is a natural part of everyday life and there is no way to avoid it.What we can do is to learn to deal with it rather than to escape from it.(184 words)
