field hockey 曲棍球（曲棍球在美国应该说并不算普及，美国特别普及的一项运动是冰球，ice hockey，常省ice，如National Hockey League，美国冰球联盟）
例句：Congratulations! I heard your field hockey team is going to the mid-Atlantic championships!
祝贺你们！我听说你们的曲棍球队要去参加中大西洋冠军赛了。
field trip（学生的）实习
例句：1.Will the field trip be on Friday as originally scheduled?
实习还像一开始那样安排在星期五吗？
2.Irene was going to lead the field trip but she broke her leg.
艾琳原来是准备带队实习的，可是她的腿受了伤。

2.leap vi/n. 跳跃，跳起
look before you leap 在跳跃之前先看一看；三思而后行
例句：If you are seriously considering buying the house. I advise you to look before you leap.
如果你真地想买那套房子的话，我劝你三思而行。

3.sleeping bag n. 睡袋
例句：I forgot to tell you that Fred called last night to borrow your sleeping bag.
我忘了告诉你昨晚弗雷德打电话来说要借你的睡袋。

4.wind v. 绕，婉蜒，弯曲 n．风
wind up 结果；以…而结束
A:That's a long line. Do you think there'll be any tickets left?
A:队伍太长了。你认为还会有剩票吗？
B:I doubt it. Guess we'll wind up going to the second show.
