　　1.第2句中的“位于亚洲东部、太平洋西岸，面积960万平方公里”可译成并列结构，但译文会略显平淡，故将“位于亚洲东部、太平洋西岸”用过去分词短语located in...译出，作地点状语，使译文层次分明、结构丰富。
