Step1. Warming up

1. Listen to a song Whats the weather like?

2. Ask Ss Whats the song about? (Present the title Weather.)

3. Ask Ss How do you know the weather? ( Present weather report.) Step2. Presentation

1. Introduce John's father and make a situation.

2. Guess: which city will John's father go tomorrow?

3. Show a video about the city, students guess. (Its Sydney.)

4. Lead students to read Sydney and introduce it's famous buildings. 5. Sunny

1). Listen to the weather report, students find the weather of Sydney.


2). Teach sunny, lead students to read and spell. Write it on the blackboard. 3). Ask students to fill in the blanks to ask and answer about the weather of Sydney. 4). Pairwork: ask and answer about the weather in Sydney. 6. Use the same way to present Singapore& cloudy. 7. Rainy

1). Introduce London

2). Show a short tape, students listen and answer questions. Where is John's the father today? What's the weather like in London?

3). Teach rainy, lead students to read and spell. Write it on the blackboard. 4). Students ask and answer about the weather in London in pairs. 8. Use the same way to present snowy and windy.

Step 3. Pratice

1. Look and say: where is it?

2. Pair work: ask an answer about the weather in these cities. 3. Game: Turning plate

Turn the plate, students work in pairs, ask and answer about the weather of the cities.

Step4. Consolidation & Extension

1. Game: Roll a snowball

Students act the weather reporter, Report the weather sentence by sentence, each student should say all the students' sentences before him.

2. Lets play

1) Show a short sample video, make students understand how to play

2) Show weather cards and city cards, students work in pairs, talk about the weather of the

cities.

3) Ask some pairs to present.
