Global wealth is rapidly concentrating at the tip-top of the social pyramid. The world’s 62 richest billionaires own as much wealth as half of the world’s population, said a report from anti-poverty group Oxfam International. To fight inequality, Oxfam has called on global leaders to pay workers a living wage, and shift the tax burden away from labor and consumption and toward wealth and capital gains.
