从许渊冲英译版《长恨歌》看中国古体诗英译“三美”再现 李政 【期刊名称】《鸡西大学学报》 【年(卷),期】2012(012)003 【摘 要】Poetry is a type of literary genre that uses the most polished and tersest language to express the richest connota- tions the author. How to make target readers fully appreciate the poetry＇ s beauty in sense, in sound and in form so as to make the translation appeal to the ear, the eye and the heart, therefore, becomes a goal pursued by every translator. Our famous translator - - Professor Xu Yuanchong , has not only translated Chinese Classical Poetry, but has also proposed a very useful and effective theory which is named the ＂three beauties theory＂ , namely beauty in sense, beauty in sound and beauty in form, which serves as an useful theory for poetry translation. This thesis made a study of his translation of the ＂Everlasting Regret＂ to discuss how he put his theory into practice, which would shed light on reproducing these three beautiful aspects in English translation of Chinese Classical Poetry.
